    Great episode this week-
I’ve been meaning to check out “Hope is a Ferris Wheel” but forgot about it. Thanks to the reviewer who helped me remind to get it on my next trip to the library.
I REALLY wanted to go to NYC to the Eric Carle Museum since first opened, and especially when they had that “Lyle the Crocodile” exhibit as I’m mad (in a GOOD way) about that friendly neighborhood crocodile. But when I one day get to NYC, that’s one of the places I MUST go, and after hearing about those lucky kids who got to go in this episode I want to visit ALL THE MORE. This is tied with the louvre in Paris for the museum I MUST see in person before I die.
I’ve always read the pages before the first line, and the end papers in picture books, and I didn’t even know the term “End Papers” before this podcast, but I assure won’t forget it.
Since I’m primarily a novelist on the writer side, I always read the stuff before chapter one, if there’s prologue, I read it, a quote, I read, or I’ll go back and read it after the first chapter.
I didn’t always read things like the dedication when I was still a lay reader. Now that I’m a soon to be published author, I always read them, reminding me (ESPECIALLY those HARD days when I want to cry and down a dozen pizzas) that most writers have a team behind them, even if it takes A LONG TIME to find and build that team…
I’m so psyched we’re nearing 200 episodes of Brain Burps, I’ve been thinking about this as far back as ep. 150!
I’ve had actually had something in the works off and on, Katie, and thanks in part to your “Video Idiot Boot Camp Course” I gained the encouragement and skills to do something really neat. Once we get to ep. 195, I’ll let you in on it, and I hope you’ll enjoy it!
    Take care,
    Taurean J. Watins (Taury)

Looking forward to the surprise, Taury! (BTW, the Carle is in Ma., though I see your confusion, because Lyle does live in NYC!)
