Writers, You Got to Hold On

I’ve been terrified.

For the last six months, literally day in and day out, I’ve been working on this course to provide great value to my community. My peeps. The people on my mailing list, who listen to my podcast, the ones who ask my advice, and who trust me.
While I worked on it, all I thought was, “I want to freak people out when they open up the first free video.”

I want eyebrows to pop up, and mouths to drop open because so much information is being shared the person watching can’t even believe it.
Last week I finally, finally shared the first video in my free training. If you are not on the list, you can’t see it (but you can still get on the list by clicking here, or texting me at 33444 and type in KATIED).

In the last two weeks of the push to get the training done and launched, I had no time to eat, or sleep. No time to do anything but work. I stopped going to spin class and I felt blechy and out of shape and tired. I told myself, on launch day, I’m going to Emily’s spin class! (LOVE Emily’s spin class!) Emily played Alabama Shakes.

Listening to Brittany Howard wailing  “Hold On,” and cycling up that hill, I realized I have to hold on. Writers have to hold on. You get that rejection, you got to hold on. You create that illustration no one reacts to, you got to hold on. You write that entire book, no one reads it, peeps, you got to hold on.
You got to hold on and you have to build your platform. You do. You have a chance to do this, with help from me with this course. I’m going to hold on until May 3 until I close the doors to the course. This is the first launch of this course and there is one mega big special VIP bonus, so if you want to get it, you’ll need to get on the list and http://www.katiedavis.com/FreeTraining or go to http://howtocreateyourauthorplatform.com.

Lyrics to “Hold On”
Bless my heart, bless my soul.
Didn’t think I’d make it to 22 years old.
There must be someone up above sayin’,
“Come on, Brittany, you got to come on up.
You got to hold on…
Hey, you got to hold on…”
So, bless my heart and bless yours too.
I don’t know where I’m gonna go
Don’t know what I’m gonna do.
There must be somebody up above sayin’,
“Come on, Brittany, you got to come on now!
You got to hold on…
Hey, you got to hold on…”
“Yeah! You got to wait!
Yeah! You got to wait!”
But I don’t wanna wait!
No, I don’t wanna wait…
So, bless my heart and bless my mind.
I got so much to do, I ain’t got much time
So, must be someone up above saying,
“Come on, girl! Yeah, you got to get back up!
You got to hold on…
Yeah, you got to hold on…”
“Yeah! You got to wait!”
I don’t wanna wait!
But I don’t wanna wait!
No, I don’t wanna wait!
You got to hold on…
You got to hold on…
You got to hold on…
You got to hold on…
