Episode # 12
Subject: School Library Journal’s new Trailee Awards
Guests: Rocco Staino
From the Burpline: A question about what software I use for my podcast, and I talk (again!) about the Podcast Answerman.

Rocco Staino has had quite a career in children’s books. As an American Library Association member for over 30 years and former NY Library Association president, he also was a board member of the Books for Kids Foundation, is the retired Director of the Library Media Program for the Keefe Library in North Salem, NY, and was its director when he left after 17 years.

Wait. I gotta take a breath.

Rocco has worked as coordinator of the Empire State Book Festival and is now its chairman, is a contributing editor at School Library Journal and now is an education blogger over at the Huffington Post.

Last and definitely not least, since it is the subject of today’s podcast, Rocco is a judge for the  first annual Trailee awards! Follow him on Twitter: @roccoa

You mentioned the trailer for The Forest of Hands and Teeth in your podcast…have you seen the one for the sequel, The Dead-Tossed Waves?

I have to listen to this later (I'm at work) BUT I just have to give a shout-out for the nominated trailer for my book Chicken Butt! that was made by a librarian and students in Oklahoma! So cute and funny… please vote for it!
