Many of you are headed to SCBWI in LA this week. Some of you are, as I like to say, “pre-published” and will be among some of the top names in our business. Huge talents will be walking around the hotel with you, people who you’ve read since you were children. That can be intimidating. Remember, everyone was pre-published at some point! It’s okay to be afraid. But do it anyway.
The people who go to SCBWI faculty are among the most generous, supportive people I have ever met. Go. Learn. Have a great time and remember, you can do it. You can get published. Learn your craft and…
