For writers, we who peck away at our stories in isolation and quiet, it is so gratifying to get notes like this!

This particular project is very challenging – it’s a completely different mindset than doing a picture book. Every moment can be illustrated, like frames in a movie…I find it much more difficult than picture books – and there are zillions more illustrations! I’ve finished the writing, but I need to illustrate it fully before submitting it to an editor and keep getting stumped.
