I thought we were done with Little Chicken’s Big Day. Remarkably, I’m actually happy we’re not. It means I can continue to make it better. This is probably the (seemingly) simplest book I’ve done, yet there are tiny little changes I keep making that alter the feeling of the entire story. Questions we’re going through are things like what to show on the title page? Do we start the story there or make it less obvious? There are so many different ways one can go!

When you think there is always room for improvement, how do you know when you’re done? What I think is that a point comes when everything feels right, it clicks into place, and you just know. But you have to be willing to work your butt off to get there.
