Southwest Florida Reading Festival Here I Come!

As they say on their site, “the Southwest Florida Reading Festival is the area’s premiere literary event! This free annual festival incites a passion for reading. The public’s interest in leisure reading is renewed as the festival authors are announced. People hear an author speak at the festival and are inspired to borrow or buy the book – maybe even to write one of their own!”
It takes place at the Harborside Event Center in Fort Myers, Florida, the same venue where President Obama appeared last month. It runs from 10-3, this Saturday, March 21.
There are so many cool people coming this year! I’m completely excited about meeting Lois Lowry. I do hope she’ll be at the Friday night author dinner. The other people who will be at the festival are Jeff Kinney – (Diary of a Wimpy Kid),and the one adult author I’ve read recently, Jeff Lindsay, who wrote Darkly Dreaming Dexter, about a serial killer who kills serial killers. As my husband would ask right about now, “Why would anyone want to kill cereal?”
Sorry. He said it, not me.
