Serendipitious Detours

serendipity |ˌserənˈdipitē|
the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way : a fortunate stroke of serendipity | a series of small serendipities.

So we’re driving to Delray Beach to some restaurant but there was waaaay too much traffic. I gently suggest (read that: “TURN HERE ALREADY!”) to my husband to make a left and go a coupla blocks out of our way so we can avoid the jam down the main drag. What do I see but this adorable restaurant called DaDa (as in the art movement).

Remember to get off the main route in life too. You never know what you might find…like, say, a completely delicious and charming restaurant and not in a strip mall!

Our waitress’ tat, which she’s still working on. I was shocked to learn that a good tattoo artist (ie, this one, runs about $150/hour and so far it’s been 11 hours – SO happy to hear about an artist who is making some big cake!)

They had  all kinds of cool art, and good copies, including this from a Dali painting.
