    Hi Katie,
Yes, I LOVED Danny and the Dinosaur. I had already figured out what an impression Dr. Seuss made on me, but Syd Hoff certainly affected me, too. And now I’m wondering if they both somehow influenced the creation of my rhyming dinobooks.
I haven’t thought about Syd Hoff in years. Thanks for the trip back, and for your fun podcasts. Keep it up!

Sammy the Seal was my favorite childhood book. When I saw Julie Hedlund tweet your giveaway I was tickled pink! What a great idea and a great children’s book author. I hope one day, someone says the same about my children’s stories – ytbp – yet to be published :”

It’s great to hear how Syd’s creativity has touched the hearts of so many. Syd was my uncle and I arranged many of his “calk talks” at schools when he visited S.CA. The kids loved his humor and stories he’d share while teaching them to cartoon using letters of the alphbet and numbers. I created http://www.SydHoff.org to honor and preserve his legacy. Many of his vintage cartoons are in the process of being uploaded, so be sure to check the site from time to time. Most will be completed before his 100th birthday (Sept 4th)….Carol

Thank you for the consistently high quality podcast. I am both motivated to write & read more each time I listen to you. I love your generosity with information and items. Each time I hear your opening jingle, I am reminded how we should help each other as the jingle writer did for you. Thanks.
