Use "Impaled" in a Poem. Go!

Today’s guest poetry poster is Susan Taylor Brown, who submitted an audio file for her post and oh, I am so happy she did. When she starts to read her poem, after explaining how it came to her, I got shivers.
Thank you, Susan!

Loved hearing Susan read this. What a beautiful poem–and a soothing, strong reading of it. Thanks, Katie and Susan!

Me too. I’d never even heard of the phrase “pantoum poem” and I have TWO poets doing different pantoums for Poetry Month!

Thanks, Laura. I had such fun doing the recording of it (though the dog was a little curious as to why I was talking to myself for so long.)

Love that you loved the last line, Jim! I actually had the last line before I had anything else and I wrote the poem to get to the ending. When it all came together, I sorta gasped a bit because it did just what I wanted it to do.

Beautiful reading, Susan! I’ve been intrigued by this form since the poetry tournament – will have to have a go!
Also love Poppiness and will be going back as we plan our own new garden! So much inspiration in gardening, no? Thanks for this lovely post!

Thanks, Renee. I’ll be expecting pantoums from you in the future! And thanks for checking out the garden site too. I do get much inspiration from the garden. When I’m blocked, that’s where I head first.
