Catch more writing prompts through video every Monday! Today’s is about this poor Leatherback Sea Turtle with a bad self image.

Here are more questions to help get your writing week started:

  • what will this turtle tell his therapist?
  • what will the therapist tell the turtle?
  • why doesn’t the turtle feel good in his own shell?
  • how long has the therapy been going on?
  • what are the real issues and why is he avoiding them?
  • what kind of creature is the therapist?
  • where do they meet?
  • describe their meeting place

    Hi Katie,
My middle-grade novel, Elizabeth’s Landing, staring sea turtles just came out, so I didn’t think I had anything else to say about them. Your video has my gears turning! Thanks! Sharing this video on my FB Author page!
    Thanks for all you do.

That’s fantastic! I love reading this comment, Katy…thanks for writing. And btw, you were mentioned in last week’s podcast (I think it was last week!)

Me?! I’m a few weeks behind in my listening so I’ll sprint right on over and take a listen. Thank you so much!
        Katy

Just heard the gratitude segment. Winged wishes of thanks to the universe that all your family escaped unhurt from the accidents. The gratitude thing goes both ways for sure. You are sooo generous. We only make it as artists when we support each other, and you’re an ace. My kids book author friend, Ginny Rorby, will be running a blog piece I wrote in a few weeks on what it is to be a new author, launching a first book, and how to give back. Such opportunities to grow. Peace and hugs Ms. Katie.
BTW, Katy Pye is not a pen name–another parentoid blessing!
