I was at the fabulous book store Copperfield’s in Petaluma, Ca. to judge the Cutest Little Chick contest and sign Little Chicken’s Big Day last month. After all the festivities I was hashing over the great time I’d had with bookseller extraordinaire, Grace Bogart. We heard a commotion to our left and turned to see a horde of teenagers surrounding the display of my book.
Grace hollered, “HEY!” and I thought she was going to yell at them, (and so did they, I think!) but she followed that with, “This is the illustrator!” The kids were all clucking and reading the book, and, well, see for yourself!
